The building’s owner’s corporation engaged The Knight as its strata managers to oversee operations and ensure a well-supported and transparent management approach. The Knight sought a clearer, well managed energy arrangement that reduced costs across electricity, hot water, and gas while strengthening long-term oversight for residents. Their goal was to secure long-term savings, stronger oversight, and a transparent embedded network that supported residents and protected the community from rising energy prices.

Strata Energy Services reviewed the embedded network to assess pricing, infrastructure needs, and opportunities for long-term value. We completed a competitive tender process to evaluate retailer performance, investment capability, and contract structures. Through this work, we negotiated a managed agreement where the retailer funded new infrastructure and assumed operational and compliance responsibilities. The arrangement delivered guaranteed discounts of 20%, resident credits, and ongoing contributions to the owners corporation. It also created a stable pricing framework that improves billing transparency and reduces common property expenses.
